A fun assignment. This painting was a surprise for someone in the family. It proved quite a challenge to finish the assignment within three weeks. Fortunately, they were pleasantly surprised with this portrait.

Movie scene Scarface (2014)
A fun commission for a big fan of the movie Scarface. To achieve an optimal result I first took pictures with the customer. We used the same lighting as they used in the movie. I spent two months working on this portrait. Oil paint on canvas 70 x 90 cm.

This was a new challenge for me. Drawing a portrait in pastel. You can stack multiple layers, but at a given moment the paper will be saturated. Drawing made with pastel pencils and chalk on paper 20 x 30 cm.
